On Sunday severe storms with heavy rain and ice hit the M3 motorway in Hungary. The unexpected amount of water made the pavement slippery even for a four wheel drive Lamborghini Aventador, driven by Balázs Dzudzsák, Hungarian football player, a member of the Hungarian National Team currently playing for Dinamo Moscow in Russia, on his way to his parents driving a 700 PS, 350 km/h fast sports car.
On the scene of the accident the wreck of another exotic car, a demolished Mercedes S63 AMG (544 PS, top speed 300 km/h) could be seen close to the Lambo wearing Austrian license plates, giving the impression that the drivers had been racing. According to several sources, though, the two cars have not been involved in the same accident. It was just the scene that was common. The Lambo, said to be a rental car got wrecked first: it got into a spin, crashed into the slope next to the motorway then hit a Renault. Luckily no one was hurt.
Just after this mishap the Mercedes happened to get into a spin, hit the slope and got severely damaged. One person, said to be a young girl was injured in the Mercedes. She was airlifted to a hospital in Budapest. Several other accidents have also happened in the area during the rainy weekend, but luckily no serious injuries were reported.
