The master of gymkhana burned some rubber in Japan

Not so long ago he was entertaining us in Budapest. Watching the video of a similar performance he gave in Tokyo recently has sure stirred up memories for us.

On a weekend in mid-June, Ken Block paid a visit to Japan, the native country of drift, to entertain many tens of thousands of excited onlookers. The recording made of the event features the omnipresent pretty girls as well as freestyle MX drivers and other showmen performing extreme stunts. Watching the celebrities being taken for a spin conjures up memories of the Budapest event. The Sierra honoured by the master still bears the marks of the action – the lucky old Ford hasn't been treated quite the way it was treated by Block that day.
